Wood's education began in Haverhill, where he attended Fox School, Golden Hill School, Whittier Middle School, and graduated from Haverhill High School in 2001. Remarkably, just two years after high school, he made history by becoming the youngest elected official in the city's history when he was elected to the Haverhill School Committee in 2003.
